Big Bus around Manhattan. Backstage at Madison Square Garden. The High Line, Hudson Yards, and finally climbing the Vessel. The pass’s final day delivered ~$320 of value.
Four pass attractions worth ~$160 per person. A daily pass cost of $64.58. The last day of the Go City Pass was its best.
Day 5 was the victory lap. A Big Bus loop around Manhattan to see everything we’d walked past. A backstage tour of Madison Square Garden. A guided walk through the High Line into Hudson Yards. And finally β after watching a free concert beside it on Day 4 β climbing the Vessel itself.
Every one of those was covered by the pass. Total day cost: $523.79 for two people, of which only $91 was food and subway. Here’s the full breakdown.
Save the Big Bus for your last pass day. By Day 5 you know the city β the hop-on-hop-off loop becomes a highlight reel of everything you’ve seen, plus the corners you missed. Ride the full loop once for the commentary, then use it as free transport between MSG and Hudson Yards.
Big Bus 1-day tour (~$65), Madison Square Garden All Access Tour ($46), guided High Line & Hudson Yards tour (~$39) and the Vessel climb ($10). That’s ~$160 per person β ~$320 for two β on a daily pass attribution of $129.16.
Open-top double-decker loop around Manhattan’s landmarks with live commentary. Scan your pass at the Big Bus agent near the M&M Store in Times Square to collect your ticket.
Saves ~$65/person without pass60 minutes behind the scenes of the world’s most famous arena β Knicks and Rangers locker rooms, luxury suites, and the Chase Bridge view of that ceiling.
Saves ~$46/person without passTwo hours along the elevated park with a guide narrating how abandoned rail tracks became NYC’s best urban renewal story. Ends in Hudson Yards.
Saves ~$39/person without pass154 staircases, 2,500 steps, 80 landings. After seeing it from the plaza on Day 4, we finally climbed it. Timed entry required β book ahead.
Saves ~$10/person without passWith the pass, MSG tours are first-come, first-served β present your pass at the tour desk in Chase Square and you’ll get the next available slot. Arrive in the first hour of operations for the best availability, and note that tour times shrink on Knicks and Rangers game days.
A return to Kailash Parbat β our Day 1 dinner favourite β for lunch, and a pizza dinner to close out the pass days. Total: $76 for 2 people.
By Day 5, stop experimenting. Go back to the places that already delivered. A repeat visit to a known-good restaurant costs the same and never disappoints β the food-roulette losses all happen when you gamble on tourist-zone unknowns.
Big Bus. Madison Square Garden. The High Line. The Vessel. The Go City Pass went out on its strongest day.
