A full day of Vegas icons β and almost every one was free. The Welcome sign, the Bellagio fountains, Paris observation deck and FlyLINQ, all for $411 out of pocket for two.
Eleven stops. Nine of them free. The Welcome sign, Seven Magic Mountains, the Bellagio fountains β Vegas’s best photo ops don’t charge admission.
Day 2 was the free-Vegas masterclass. We started south of the Strip at the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, drove out to Seven Magic Mountains in the desert, then spent the afternoon and evening hopping the great Strip resorts β New York-New York, Caesars, the Venetian, the Bellagio. Two pass attractions (Paris observation deck and FlyLINQ) added a view and a zipline.
Total out-of-pocket: $411.82 for two people β and $32 of that was lunch. Here’s the full breakdown.
Having the Mustang turned two bucket-list stops into free ones. The Welcome sign and Seven Magic Mountains are both south of the Strip β impractical without wheels, effortless with them. Do them early in the day before the desert heat peaks, then park once near the central Strip and walk the resorts.
Two pass attractions today β the Paris Las Vegas observation deck (Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck) and FlyLINQ, the Strip’s only zipline. Everything else was free. Daily pass attribution: $160.67 for two.
The most photographed sign in America, on the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard. Free to visit β there’s a small parking lot right beside it. Go early to skip the photo queue.
Ugo Rondinone’s neon-painted boulder towers rising from the Mojave, about 25 minutes south. A free desert art installation β worth the drive for the surreal photos.
A mini-Manhattan skyline on the Strip, complete with a Statue of Liberty replica and a roller coaster wrapping the facade. Free to wander.
Multi-floor branded wonderland near the MGM. Free to browse, photo-friendly, and a fun air-conditioned break from the Strip heat.
Four floors of M&M’s overload right next door. The free 3D show and the wall of colours are the highlights. Browse, don’t buy β the prices are tourist-tier.
The Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck at Paris Las Vegas β 46 storeys up, directly facing the Bellagio fountains. Time it for a fountain show from above.
Covered by passThe Strip’s only zipline, launching from The LINQ Promenade. A 10-storey, 1,100-foot flight over the crowds β covered by the pass.
Covered by passRoman opulence, the Forum Shops, and statues everywhere. One of the Strip’s grandest lobbies β free to explore.
Indoor canals, painted skies and gondolas. The interior alone is worth the walk. The gondola ride costs extra, but wandering is free.
The Strip’s signature free show β choreographed water to music every 15β30 minutes. Inside, the seasonal Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is also free.
The Bellagio fountains are spectacular at street level β but the Paris observation deck (on your pass) faces them directly. Catch one show from the deck for the aerial view, then cross the street and watch the next from the railing. Two completely different experiences of the same free show.
A late start meant no breakfast β we rolled straight into an Indian lunch and closed with Domino’s. Total food: $51 for 2 people.
Strip restaurant markups are brutal. Indian food and chains just off the boulevard cost a fraction of casino-floor dining β our full day of food came to $51 for two. Save the splurge meal for one planned dinner, and keep the rest cheap and functional.
The Welcome sign, Seven Magic Mountains, the Bellagio fountains, a Strip zipline and an Eiffel Tower view β almost all of it free.
